Surprised we are still here at Five Years.

We still haven't visited BP but then HRH hasn't come to one of our Food & Wine Evenings either.

Back to Basics being the philosophy of The Old Forge; good food well cooked, properly presented and served with professional style and courtesy. Clive would have been a Downing Street Advisor but had no time for such frivolity.

Pet shop purchased.

And so we can now drive to France for lunch - and another successful business starts.
Bad choice gentlemen. You would have been assured of privacy at The Old Forge. We are very discreet and have hosted various persons in our private 'back room'.
Despite the occasional investment in the Lottery we remain working for a living.

But does Mr Pope know anything about sou-vide cookery. We start to use it for certain of our dishes to guarantee flavoursome and succulent meats.
HP looks as though he should eat bettter. Hogwarts should engage Clive as a consultant chef.

Hairdressers purchased.

Our own celebrations in family and restaurant served some wonderful wines.
But the Beeb missed out on our hot news story about opening up our wine shop.
Good on yer Sir Michael - he keeps a decent restaurant as well.
But the Forge stays warm and dry welcoming diners from the cold.
Millennium celebrations take place throughout the UK. The Millennium Dome is officially opened by the Queen.

Fifteen years of great food - wow.

Concorde was such an elegant airplane but we never got to book flights for our Grand Cru trips.
Superconductors must mean Cathy running the restaurant and of course the superfluid will be one of our delicious sorbets or ice creams.
No raw sprits here. But we do have some lovely malts and of course the smoothest of vintage wines.

Has it really been 20 years!

Perhaps Storrington is just too far to travel for good food. Ah no- it's because we are not Kosher.
Our customers who continue to enjoy the midweek and evening menus without ill effect.
