Situated in the West Sussex downland village of Storrington, The Old Forge Restaurant is a combination of several cottages and a lead forge dating back to the late 16th century.

Our à la carte menu changes approximately every six weeks to take advantage of the best quality fish and meats that are seasonally available.
Our Sunday Lunch menu offers a choice of four main courses of traditional roasts and contemporary dishes.

Don't forget to look at our food & wine evenings menus. We combine wines and food from a particular region to make interesting entertaining menus - it's just like a private dinner party with a wine expert host at each table.

We use only fresh ingredients in dishes created in the modern style. Our influences come from far and wide. From Escoffier to el Bulli to hand-written cards from our training days to any one or more of our rather large library of recipe books.

Sunday lunches have become a tradition at the Old Forge.
There is of course always a roast meat, usually beef, but also the best of the new season lamb when available. We normally include some fish dishes, naturally a vegetarian alternative, and desserts made just for Sunday.

Our seasonal lunches were inspired by customer comments who found that a full the course luncheon was just to much. Apparently they were failing to concentrate in the afternoons. Knowing that they could not all move to France or Spain where long siestas are the norm we devised some light lunches of just one course - but don't be concerned; a starter or dessert from the main menu can be added at moderate additional cost.
